Rasam Powder – Kerala Style (Approx. 1 kg)

Ingredients:

Coriander seeds – 300g

Dry red chillies – 200g

Black pepper – 150g

Cumin seeds – 150g

Toor dal (Thuvara parippu) – 100g

Fenugreek seeds – 30g

Asafoetida (Kayam) – 10g

Curry leaves (dried) – 60g

Preparation Method:

1. Dry roast each ingredient (except asafoetida) on low flame till aromatic.


2. Let them cool completely.


3. Grind all roasted ingredients into a fine powder.


4. Mix in asafoetida powder and blend well.


5. Store in an airtight container.

Add 1–2 tsp while preparing rasam for authentic Kerala flavor.
